How Did We Get Here?

HerMento Wellness was born not only from a love of natural and organic skincare, but from a personal journey that led me away from fleeting spiritual trends and back to the eternal truth of God.

I initially set out to create yet another luxury wellness skincare brand that embraced popular New Age practices. I was drawn to that lifestyle through my passion for herbs, plants, and holistic living, something deeply rooted in my Jamaican heritage. Growing up in the lush countryside of Jamaica, I watched my mother and grandparents turn to nature for healing, using “bush medicine” passed down through generations.

In Pursuit of Healing

When I began struggling with acne, it deeply affected my confidence. I found myself wanting to cover up with makeup, even just to go to the grocery store. At the same time, I was also dealing with unhealed childhood traumas that had followed me into adulthood.

My desire for clear skin, and for a happier, more whole life, led me back to my roots. I began experimenting with botanicals from my kitchen, which eventually inspired me to formally study skincare and become a Certified Organic Skincare Formulator.

But while I was searching for healing for my skin, I was unknowingly walking deeper into spiritual confusion that was leading me away from the One True God. I thought I was nurturing my well-being through those practices, but deep down, something always felt missing. I would experience moments of peace and stillness, but they never lasted.

Finding God

In His loving kindness, Jesus drew me close to Him. Little by little, I began letting go of practices that were not of God, becoming more mindful of what I consumed on every level, and spending more time in prayer and in the Word of God.

As my eyes and heart were opened, I began to fully seek Him, and that was the beginning of my transformation. My life changed for the better. I was delivered, pruned, and set on a path to truly flourish in Christ.

Today, I can testify that real healing, peace, confidence, and wholeness come only through Him, not through empty rituals, energy work, or mystical tools, but through Jesus Christ, our true Source of all things.

Walking in Purpose

Now, HerMento Wellness is more than just another wellness skincare brand. It's a vehicle to help lead others toward true wellness, healing and the Peace that passes all understanding - Jesus Christ. By creating intentional, God-centered rituals around our premium quality botanical products, we help you develop a deeper connection with your Creator as you care for your skin. 

Here, self-care is elevated to soul-care. What was once a selfish or meaningless beauty ritual becomes a sacred space where powerful, life-transforming moments unfold in communion with God.

We do not draw from Eastern mysticism or New Age philosophy. Our rituals are rooted in biblical truth, not in the idea of the divine self or universal oneness. We believe true healing and transformation come through Jesus Christ, not from within ourselves.
